Name: Dr. Alberto Castiel
Title: Medical Director │Medical Doctor

Dr. Alberto Castiel is a Board Certified Family Physician. He is originally from New York City and trained at the University of Florida. He has been in practice for 20 plus years and treats wide variety of illnesses and conditions. Dr. Castiel is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Florida School of Medicine, Florida State University School of Medicine , and Nova Southeastern University School of Physician Assistants.
He has a passion for all sports especially scuba diving which he says sparked his interest in hyperbaric medicine. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. The patients of The Back & Neck Institute are in incredibly qualified hands under the watch of Dr. Castiel.

Name: Dr. Parveen Khanna
Title: Pain Management Director


Dr. Khanna is Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine from the University of Florida. She is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from The American Board of Anesthesiology and American Board of Medical Specialties. She has extensive experience in Pain Management both in the Academic and Private setting. Dr. Khanna has served as Assistant Professor at the University of Florida and at the Florida State University School of Medicine. She was the Medical Director at Pain Management Specialists in Tallahassee for 7 years and at the Coastal Spine and Pain Center, Middleburg location for 3 years.

Name: Dr. Adam Bordes
Title: Chiropractic Physician


Dr. Adam Bordes is a Board-Certified Chiropractic Physician with over 10 years of experience treating a wide variety of conditions in some of the most beautiful cities in the country (St. Louis, Portland, Austin, Nashville, San Diego, and now, Florida). After receiving his undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Exercise Science from The Florida State University in 2000, he completed his education at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri in 2006. Dr. Bordes believes in treating people, not conditions, and he works hard every single day to help people get back to doing the things they love. He lives in St. Augustine with his wife Katie and their four “furry” children: Zara, Sophie, Romeo, and Oliver.

Name: Dr. Joseph Wolfersberger
Title: Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Joseph Wolfersberger has over a decade of experience treating patients, most of that is working in a multidisciplinary or integrative setting. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. After which he worked with several practices in North and Central Florida. His undergraduate degree is from the University of North Florida in Spanish. He has also taught Anatomy and Physiology at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Dr. Wolfersberger enjoys the collaborative approach of the Back and Neck Institute, here there is a team of experts working on getting each of our patients their best possible outcome, in the most efficient way.

Name: Tracy Mills 
Title: Nurse Practitioner

Tracy Mills is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She attended The University of Akron in Ohio for both her Bachelors and Master’s degree. She has worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years. Practicing as an ARNP for 10 years. Her experience includes but is not limited to house-calls, cardiology, pain, and orthopedics. She strongly believes that diet and exercise play a major role in your quality of life. Since coming on to Back & Neck Institute, Tracy has been played a vital role to the overall care of our patients.

Name: Chelsea Bugg, PA-C
Title: Physician Assistant

Chelsea is a NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant & is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. She received her Masters Degree at Nova Southeastern University where she trained under Dr. Alberto Castiel. Dr. Castiel immediately saw her as a rising talent due to her dedication to becoming a medical provider striving to help patients reach their individual health goals.

Name: Melanie Jordan
Title: License Physical Therapist

Mel qualified as a Physical Therapist more than 20 years ago in the United Kingdom. There she gained experience in a variety of in-patient and out-patient settings including orthopaedics, neurology, and cardiovascular, before moving to the United States almost eight years ago. Now licensed in Florida, Mel greatly values the holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to patient care, like those offered here at the Back & Neck Institute. Her other interests are music, cooking, cooking to music and playing music while others cook.

Name: Stanley Turner
Title: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Stanley Turner is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 20 years of experience. He began his medical career in the Army in the mid 80’s. Stanley is a true patient oriented PTA with a hands on approach. He specializes in following patients throughout their rehab and educating the patients of Back & Neck Institute on the how and why behind every exercise we put them through. Stanley believes in treating each patient, not the condition. When Stanley is not treating patients, he is a beekeeper by trade and loves to dedicate time to fishing.
